The Habanero is a very hot pepper. Make sure to either wear gloves while you cut it up or wash your hands very well after doing so. Do not touch any part of your body (especially your face and eyes) before you have washed your hands well.
Note: this recipe makes hot salsa. If you would prefer to have more of a mild salsa substitute the Habanero with a jalapeno or a portion of a poblano pepper. Also remember to remove the seeds.
* This recipe will make a large bowl of salsa.
